I needed a new dentist and my old dentist is about 2 hours away. I did a Google search and for LBMD. They had great reviews and here's another one to add to their list. Clean office! Great customer service and bed side manners. The staff treats you like family from the first initial contact. They actually address and listen to your concerns. I broke a couple teeth (back molars on my upper left and right sides) and filings in September, eating bacon. And due to my rare nerve disease I clench my teeth from the pain. They didn't try to upsell me on services I didn't need. I've seen a few dentist who told me some of the same things and root issues. I knew most of what needed to be done to improve my oral health. Dr. Cowan and his team, pointed out that some of the cavities others said I had, were just stains. It has been about 1.5 years, almost 2, since my last cleaning. They also do everything in-house, they assured me that they would at least begin to fix my broken tooth on the right. I needed a root canal, which due to past experiences, I have been very fearful and reluctant to have again. Mo was the endo specialist and just amazing with his techniques. He taught me how to breathe through my nose when administering the novacain, and distracted me so that my focus shifted on something else and not the needle. Dr. Cowan and his assistants are just pros and so considerate. They explained every step in the process, checked in frequently to make sure that I was comfortable. I had a couple of crowns done and didn't feel a thing! They fixed my issues! I didn't go in for a consult, office visit just to schedule another visit, to schedule yet another visit, to maybe fix the issue I came in three visits ago about. They actually carved out time in his schedule to fix the issues. I definitely needed a deep cleaning. His hygienist (Ayalit), top notch, cream of the crop. Super gental, friendly, knowledgeable and fast. Numbed me so well, I again, felt no pain. My mouth feels better, my gums don't bleed when I floss or brush. I don't have that nasty taste in my mouth. Highly recommend her. Now, with all that said, they aren't cheap by any means. Expensive, even with insurance, but worth every penny. This is where Tiffany, one of their front desk admin comes in to take the sting out of the cost. She's not forceful, she educates, listens and clearly explains your options. She's definitely sensitive to patients needs and understands how this can be a huge financial burden or we would all have perfect teeth. She has the options, packages, resources, you name it, to help you afford your treatment plan. She's not pushing you to get everything done NOW, TODAY. It's a little bit at a time, what you can afford, what is your most pressing dental issue. She cares, a lot and it shows. Her and P, the front desk admins have great sense of humor, and stellar professionalism where you don't feel like a stranger when you walk in. You feel like your at home. So glad I found LBMD, glad I took the initiative and made my appointment. I can chew on both sides, finally! I understand exactly what is going on with my oral health, I know what needs to be done to get back to pristine oral health. I have hope. Trust the 5 star reviews on this one. They are actually accurate. I normally don't trust a business with only 5 star reviews, it raises suspicion for me, but in this case. Dr. Cowan and his team earned every single star.

I haven’t been to a dentist in about 2 years and I have had not the best history with going regularly. This dentist office made me feel really comfortable and every step flowed with the next. They make me want to take care of my teeth without any guilt!

I want to thank Tiffany and the whole team at modern dentistry for giving me the most pleasant dental experience I have ever had. I never felt pressured to finance thousands of dollars they did a great job of explaining what I needed and let me decide how I wanted to proceed. Super thankful to have found a dentist that actually makes me want to keep coming back.
